My Story

Years ago I worked for corporate America, long before I began my journey as a healer and teacher. My first position was entry level and I worked my way up to management. I truly never felt like I belonged, I didn’t feel completed or happy, but the pay suited my life at that time.
 

In all truth, my lunch breaks were spent with coworkers complaining about our jobs. One day, out of desperation, I grabbed my two friend’s hands and started praying… asking if we were placed on this earth to be miserable, just tell us, and if not - please help us.

The next day, when we showed up for work, we were all called into a meeting. We learned that this branch was being closed, and the company was moving out of state.
I THINK WE GOT OUR ANSWER. 
 

The following weekend I was driving down the road and passed a sign for the Mind, Body, Spirit Festival. Anyone that knows me, knows I don’t go to things like that by myself, but my car had other ideas. All of the sudden, I found myself parking and walking in. 

It was here that I met Kathy Sinnett, of The Holistic Health Center, where they taught Healing Touch and other energy work, and Betsy Adams who does holistic work for animals. They both became mentors for me at the start of my journey. 
 

The first class I signed up for was Therapeutic Touch. I still remember that first connection to feeling energy between my hands. It was amazing, it ignited a passion in me, that to this day has not burned out.
 

It has been 25 years of continuing to work with clients, taking classes, and now teaching.

I started with Healing Touch and completed through level 3, and also Healing Touch for animals.
 

I am also a Master and Teacher in Reiki, Karuna Reiki, and Holy Fire Reiki.

I completed a course in Peruvian Andes Shamanism and am considered a Full Mesa Shaman, but prefer to state I practice and teach Shamanism.

I have completed both Celtic and Siberian Shamanism Classes.

I became a Certified Massage Therapist, at the request of Nedra Downing, DO, but I am no longer taking new clients.
 

Other classes consist of Aromatherapy Certification, Bach Flower Cewritfication, Feng Shui Professional, Certified in Horse Massage, Bowen Techniques through level 8, and many more. I continue taking classes in shamanism, and I am amazed at the amount of older wisdom we have forgotten, and need to reconnect with. 
 

I named my company Old World Wisdom, as I learned in the very beginning of this journey that there is so much old wisdom that we have become disconnected from. The wisdom worldwide is the same message, just stated in different ways.

This journey has become a passion in my life. It has brought contentment, joy and wisdom to me, and the need to share.
